By default, the Developer Portal Site, after installation comes up with default contents that can either be use, or modify or serve as your starting line to initiate your site.
Articles is one of the content types that are pre-configured in your Developer Portal site. Here, user or site admin could create blog write-ups (either opinion/instructions/general description) that are and can be categorized into different topics.
Additionally, the said content types have Comment Module integration, wherein each write-ups can be an interactive communications platform as users can provide their comments (either opinion/instructions/general description) on various issues being discussed in the blog write-ups.
ACCESS ARTICLE CONTENT LIST
- To access Blogs Content List, on the Admin Toolbar click on Content menu link.
- You will be redirected to Content Dashboard page. In this page, all contents are being listed regardless of its type. To filter Articles Content, there is a search box available on top of the page.
- On Content Type Select box, choose Article and click Filter button.
- Once done, all Articles only will be listed on the Content Dashboard Page.
CREATE NEW ARTICLE
- FOR NON-CLARO THEME (ADMINIMAL OR SEVEN)
- If the Admin Theme used are either Seven or Adminimal Theme, on the Content Dashboard, click on the Add content button (above the search box).
- After clicking, you will be redirected to Add content dashboard page. Listed in the page are the available content type for which you can add content. In this particular documentation, we are adding contents to article. So click Article link to redirect to Add article page.
- If the Admin Theme used are either Seven or Adminimal Theme, on the Content Dashboard, click on the Add content button (above the search box).
- FOR CLARO THEME (DEFAULT ADMIN THEME)
- For Claro Theme, put your cursor on Content Menu link > click Add content.
- From the Add content dashboard page, click on Article link.
- From the Add Article dashboard page, you need to fill in the following fields:
- Title - Title of the Article [Required]
- Body - Main content of the Article [Optional but recommended]
- Tags - Category or Topic for which the content belongs to [Optional but recommended]
- Image - Image that will represent the Article as a whole [Optional but recommended]
- After information is completed, click on Save button and the content will be available for reading and interactive discussion thru comments available below of the said article.
- For Claro Theme, put your cursor on Content Menu link > click Add content.
EDIT ARTICLE CONTENT
- To edit existing article content, from the Content Dashboard, filter the article content you wish to edit or update. Use the search box on the said page. (See ACCESS ARTICLE CONTENT LIST).
- On the right side of each listed content, there are two operational links available: Edit and Delete links (click on the dropdown button to see Delete link). Click on Edit link.
- From the Edit Article page, site admin/user can now update the existing content, and once done with all the updates, click Save button to update and save the changes.
DELETE ARTICLE CONTENT
- To delete existing article content, from the Content Dashboard, filter the article content you wish to delete. Use the search box on the said page. (See ACCESS ARTICLE CONTENT LIST).
- On the right side of each listed content, there are two operational links available: Edit and Delete links (click on the dropdown button to see Delete link). Click on Delete link.
- The site admin/user will be redirected to a confirmation page. Click on Delete button and the said content will be deleted from the dashboard and interface.
ACTUAL VIEW OF THE ARTICLE CONTENT
To access the list of published Articles, on the Main Navigation of the Developer Portal Site, click on Blogs menu link.
And from here, the site admin/user will see all published Article contents. Just click on the Title link of each article to view its full content.
